  Here is a pic of the shoes and pads. Clearly not worn down to the metal cores. In fact the worst brake shoe still has 1/8" of pad material left on it at the lowest point, more than half what the new shoes had. The front pads are clearly over 1/4", nowhere even close to the wear limits. Rotors and Drums were also within spec, measured at the wear surface of course. I'm no licensed mechanic, but I have 20/20 vision.

  I went elsewhere to have the hole repaired. I bought new brakes to be put on front and back ... to be informed that they did not need to be replaced.

  I had brought a car to this shop for certification in order to sell the vehicle. I had paid half of the cost of the safety to get a list of items that needed to be addressed. I was told the brakes were worn right off, and that I had a hole in the rocker panel - news to me. Oh, they created the hole when they hoisted it.
